By the volcanos 24/Oct/2009
I never thought that being surrounded by volcanos was so pleasant. That's because Can Amatista gave us the impression of being at home. The people, the gardens, the dogs and the beautiful bathrooms made me feel 30 yrs younger.
Amatista is in the middle of Lanzarote so you can reach anywhere in 30 min whatever you decide to do for that day depending of the wind.
I am of the opinion that it is better to stay in a place for at least a week instead of running from one place to the other everyday. If you stay at Can Amatista for that lenght of time you will be able to enjoy the island in its full beauty.
And when you get home at night there is nothing like making a salad with the green lettuce and tasty tomatoes you got from the Amatista garden.
I am leaving my last comment for Zanna who was incredibly helpful since the minute we got there in every respect and also with our little daughter who was just 4 when we lived at Amatista.
Highly recommended experience.

Fantastic and peaceful location! 16/Apr/2009
We would recommend Casa Amatista- the location is wonderfully remote, quiet and peaceful- yet centrally located so ideal for visiting the beautiful island of Lanzarote. We felt very welcome and relaxed in the surroundings of Casa Amatista. Thanks for a fantastic break, peaceful sleeps and friendly faces (and pets!) We'll be back!

Fantastic 05/Oct/2008
We had a lovely time with Daniel and Zanna at Casa Amatista. I am worried to say this in case the place gets overly popular as it is currently the best kept secret on the island. Our hosts were generous, friendly and extremely informative. We stayed in the Yurt which was a wonderful type of accommodation and new to us as was Lanzarote. Needless to say we will back to stay at Casa Amatista and the yurt (if there's space!).

We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy, remoteness and comfort of Casa Amatista and we will most certainly return. The house is well placed for exploring the island and is unspoiled by car or human. The landscape is really special and the package-holiday industry has not destroyed any of the islands raw beauty.
Our son enjoyed Casa Amatistas lovely dog called Bonnie, the great pool and the local goats cheese from the shop in Soo.
Happy holidays

Fantastic time at the Villa Amatista/Bodega 02/Mar/2008
Had a wonderful week in the Bodega villa at Villa Amatista in early March 2008. It is in a beautiful setting with amazing views. I would recommend it to anyone. It was great to be surrounded by so many lush plants, and very quiet, very peaceful. We appreciated the DVDs for the evenings and the extra books.

Excellent 23/Feb/2008
Steve and Jean and son Amadeus found Tisalaya the perfect home away from home. Wonderfully maintained, tastefully arranged, with extras like the best bed we've ever found in a rental accomodation. The hosts are both gracious and helpful, Bonnie is a fine sidekick for any kid, and the setting is 100% Lanzarote. We would be very happy to be there right now!

Excellent appartment in quiet surrounding 09/Feb/2008
A perfect place to stay if you want to see Lanzarote and prefer to stay in a quiet area. It is situated in a small village in the middle of the island with beatiful views on the surrounding mountains.
There are several appartments but thanks to the smart architecture it feels like you have your own private little home.
It is very peaceful and quiet in Villa Amatista, with beautiful gardens surrounding the appartments. The owners are very friendly and helpful - so is the dog by the way!

I had a wonderful time at Casa Amatista. The location was just what I was looking for, very peaceful and quiet. The layout of the whole complex is very nice. Although there's several little units (studios), you don't feel crammed together at all. My studio was very pretty, immaculately clean, and generally a very nice place to be. Combined with the friendly hospitality of the owners, it was just what I was looking for. If I went back to Lanzarote, I'd certainly consider staying at Casa Amatista again!

Daniel & Zanna were very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend if you want a restful and peaceful holiday, not too far from the coast and sightseeing areas. Hope to return soon.

peace and light 02/Feb/2006
What i took from my stay was the beauty of the surrounding hills, and the generosity and kindess of the hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The apartments all have great views, lovely patios and nestle into the hillside.
WE travelled easily to the sea-side, up mountains and through the lunar landsacpe of the volcanoes. It was a great week.
